Our History
The Company was formed by a Management Buy Out in July 2000 of the security activities within East Midlands Electricity, a part of Powergen plc.
EME had been installing security systems for over 25 years and we took over responsibility for all their existing customers. Since then the Company has continued to expand, particularly in 2005 when we acquired all the customers of MEB Security from E-On UK/Powergen.

The three owners are all full time working directors and have taken the business from strength to strength by concentrating on delivering quality workmanship, value for money, and high levels of customer service not usually seen in the security industry. This is evidenced by the fact that over a third of our sales enquiries come from existing customers and referrals by them. The Company is strong financially, has cash reserves and no operational bank loans.

Where We Operate
We cover all of the Midlands; from Birmingham right across to the east coast, and from south of Sheffield to North London and across to Bristol.
All our Engineers are home-based in order to be closer to our customers and the business is controlled from a small central office in Leicester.

What We Do
We design, install and maintain electronic security equipment for all types of Domestic, Commercial and Industrial premises. This equipment can include:

• Intruder alarm systems, both monitored and ‘bells only’
• Access control systems, e.g. swipe cards
• Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) including transmissions to a remote central station
• Fire alarms and emergency lighting
• Security lighting
• External detection systems
• Power fencing
• Traffic control systems (automatic traffic barriers, electric gates, etc.)
• Fully integrated systems (i.e. combining any of the above).

Trade Bodies
Secure One firmly supports organisations that promote the highest levels of workmanship, customer care and safety in the security and electrical industries in which it operates. It’s vital that customers and potential customers have total confidence in firms they engage and that incompetent firms are not allowed to flourish. The Company is an accredited member of the following organizations. They are not trade protection ‘clubs’ – they exist to foster the interests of you, the customer and industry standards by accepting only firms which are able to clearly demonstrate their continual compliance (including by regular audit inspection) with these aims.
